The story after: Chapter 1

On my old Twilight Dentifrice website, who's gone now, was a story written about my old guild, Twilight Dentifrice. The people in the story were members of TDF. It was a fiction story written by me. Jess asked me why I didn't write a new story, about now. I thought about it and started to write. Here's the story that follows on the TDF story. Heroes never die.

Chapter 1: Return.

Lisa sighted while she sat behind her computer. Cleaning out her computer wasn't one of the things she liked to do the most on her free day. But it just had to happen some day, her computer was filled with things she never used anymore. She never used the delete button more than she did today. Old works from school, delete. Old pictures, delete. Old games, delete. Neocro stared to here screen. "Flyff?" She couldn't remember ever playing a game called 'Flyff'. She looked to her clock and started the game. A bright blue scenery appeared with a login window. "Login ID and password..." Without thinking Lisa put in the user name and password she used on a lot websites. It worked. Three boxes appeared and one had a character named Neocropain. She clicked on the character and entered the game.

Neocro her lungs felt like bursting. She was surrounded by sand and water. Her whole body hurt and she barely could move. She tried really hard to move her arms around her, sand slid off her body. She managed to put her feet flat on the bottom of... of where ever she was. She kicked her legs. She really had to reach the surface. While it only took her a few seconds to reach the surface, it felt like hours to Neocro. She finally filled her lungs with air. Slowly she tried to open her eyes. It was really light around her. She tried to get used to it and looked around her. She was in a kind of lake. "Where am I..." murmured Neocro. Slowly she swam to she side of the lake where she was in. Her whole body was stiff. Every movement hurt. Lying on the brown sand at the side of the lake she gasped. "What is this..." Suddenly a weird creature came closer to Neocro. Neocro jumped up and stared to the walking time bomb. "What the..." A boy appeared followed by a girl. The boy held 2 swords. His swords flew to the creature while the girl behind him seemed to wave with a weird kind of stick. Neocro stared to the creature that fell on the ground and disappeared. The boy picked up some items that the creature left and ran away again. Neocro felt dizzy. Before she realized the boy and girl were gone again. "Hi... Hi wait!" screamed Neocro. She ran into the direction where the boy left. More creatures and people appeared. They were all fighting the walking time bombs. Neocro looked around and saw a bridge over the water she just came out of. It leaded away from the strange creatures and people so Neocro decided to cross the bridge. The creatures were gone but more and more people appeared. They were all dressed in strange clothes and most of them had weapons in their hands. They were all noisy and seemed busy. "Selling Traseia tickets, half price! Ship departs tonight so be fast!" Neocro looked confused around her. She started to walk faster through the crowd. "Buying Champion's jewelry set! Paying well!" Neocro ran away from the crowded square. Her body hurt so much. She closed her eyes and kept on running. Suddenly she bumped into a person. She fell down and opened her eyes. "I'm sorry!" said Neocro. Her shoulder hurt really bad, more than the rest of her body that was already hurting a lot. A boy dressed in a dark blue t-shirt with black pants looked angrily to her. Behind him were other boys dressed in the same clothes and a few girls dressed in short dresses. "I'm sorry..." said Neocro again. The boy got up and looked down on Neocro. "Do you know who you just bumped on?" The others behind him laughed. "N-no..." said Neocro. "You just bumped on a respectable member of Mafia!" said the boy. He walked to Neocro and made a fist of his hand. "And all you can say is sorry?" Neocro tried to fight against the pain that ran through her shoulder. "Can't you see she hurt herself more than she did you?" A boy was suddenly standing near Neocro. He was dressed in a light blue shirt and brown pants. He held a bow in his hands. "If you want I can pierce my arrow through your shoulder to show how much she hurt herself." The boy from the group stared to the bow the boy held. He stepped one step backwards and narrowed his eyes. "Take her out of her my sight." The boy with the light blue shirt grabbed Neocro and dragged her away.

"Are you okay?" asked the boy in the blue shirt. Neocro nodded. She sat down on one of the pipes that were spread through this city. "You shouldn't hang out in that part of Darken." said the boy. "Darken... I don't really know what I'm doing here." said Neocro. Rick stared to her clothes. A dark brown dress. Vagrant clothes. He smiled "You'll probably have to be in Flaris. I don't know how you got here but I'll help you out. I'm Rick!" said the boy cheerful. "I'm... Neocro... I guess..." murmured Neocro. "Take my hand." said Rick. He smiled to Neocro. Neocro stared to the hand and then looked around her. Anything seemed better than this place. She took Rick his hand and it got black in front of her eyes. A few seconds later she opened her eyes again. She was on a colorful square now. The sky looked bright blue. Her ears caught a sweet melody that flew through town. She knew this place, she knew this melody. "Follow me!" said Rick. He took Neocro's hand and ran across the square, over a bridge to a square that was rather crowded. Less crowded than the dark city that she just left though. They walked to a house where a few men were crafting weapons. "Hmm... Let's see..." said Rick, more to himself than to Neocro. He talked with one of the crafters and handed him over money. He received a package. "Here, try this!" said Rick. Neocro opened the package and stared to the new clothes and weapons she got. She put the clothes on and looked to herself. The brown dirty dress she was wearing changed into brown shorts with a small green and brown colored top. Then Neocro grabbed the small axe Rick gave her. She smiled. "Thanks, Rick... But what do I have to do with this?" Neocro swung around with the axe. Rick stared to her, stunned. "Do you even know what kind of game this is?" Neocro shook her head. Rick sighted. "Let's go for a walk."

They walked together through Flaris. Rick showed the different monsters in Flaris and told Neocro about Flyff. He told her about the different classes and weapons. Some things seemed Neocro familiar, most things. At the end of the day she believed that she really used to play this game. But when? She didn't know. She couldn't remember anything. "Thanks for your help and the things you gave me, Rick. I wish I had money to pay you back." Rick laughed. Don't worry about that, really." He gave her another small bag. "And this is for if you need something more." Neocro opened curiously the small bag. There was money in it. "Well it's time that I go to my guild house and join my guild members for the night." said Rick when they sat on a hill watching the orange sun. "Guild house?" asked Neocro. "Yes." said Rick. "It's a house for all members of my guild. We spend the night there and discuss things there." "Sounds nice." said Neocro. Ricky looked hesitating to Neocro. "I thought... Maybe... Maybe you would want to come to the guild house too? I don't think our leader would mind... I don't think you have any other place to spend the night..." Neocro stared to the sky. The moon appeared. "I don't think I do. I'd like to go with you." Rick smiled. "Let's go then before it gets too dark." They climbed off the hill and walked slowly back to town.

The little lanterns in Flarine lighted the 3 squares. Rick guided Neocro to the middle square and entered a small street. He entered one of the little houses. Neocro hesitated when she heard people laughing and talking inside, but followed Rick. She was standing in the entrance and looked surprised around her. There was a big fire place where people sat in sofas around it. They talked, laughed and drank. There were a few tables with chairs. At one a few boys were playing with cards. Around another girls were talking. One boy said quiet in a corner of the room drinking on his own. At a fourth table in the corner there were a boy and girl sitting. They were both wearing bright white clothes. Rick stepped to them and Neocro followed slowly. "Neocro, this are Nico and Nathalie. My guild leaders." Neocro greeted them. "Can she please stay over tonight? She has no where to go." Nathalie smiled. "Of course she can Rick." Rick smiled and started to tell about what he did that day and about other things. Neocro looked around her. The sound of their happy voices made Neocro smile. They seemed to get along pretty well. The weapons of the people here lied everywhere across the room. Her eyes caught a round looking weapons. They looked like 2 golden flowers. Neocro slowly walked to them. She didn't know why. She felt like taking them in her hands, before she realized she had one in her right hand and one in her left hand. Neocro touched softly the sharp golden sides. Her finger started to bleed. A smile appeared on her face. They were in a perfect state. She closed her eyes and made a movement with the yoyos. The room lighted up green. "Hi..." said someone. "Sarah, someone is using your yoyos." Neocro opened her eyes and looked around her. Everyone was staring to her. Neocro panicked, threw the yoyos on the ground and ran to the door "Neocro!" shouted a voice. Neocro didn't look behind her to see Rick who was shouting her name. She opened the door and ran outside, through the street, across the square, into the hills of Flaris. She ran till she felt a sharp pain in her chest. Neocro fell on the ground and started to cry.
