24 June - Day 5
We spend most of day 5 in MoMA. The Museum of Modern Art. At first we saw really creepy stuff such as weird videos and just really strange art but on the other floors there were a lot of really nice and famous paintings. It was really warm that day so I was glad we got to spend the warmest hours of the day inside.

Some modern art. Coloured panels. There were at least 4 rooms filled with them. Art.

A painting of Magritte, a Belgian painter.
When we got out of the Museum Sonaj saw that there was a special project near the Museum called Rain Room It was basically a room where it rained but there were sensors everywhere. So if you'd walk slow through the rain it would stop raining where you were walking because the sensors sensed where you were. We just took a look inside the building and didn't walk through the rain itself because it was a really long row and it was really warm. And we were really hungry.
Before we went to eat we quickly visited the St. Patrick's Cathedral. We seemed to be very unlucky with churches on our trip because they were also working on this Cathedral (they were working on Trinity Church aswel). It was really nice inside. We went to have lunch in an Asian restaurant where they cook right in front of you. Sonaj really wanted me to see it. It was really cool and the food was really good. I had a tuna steak and Sonaj had shrimps.

After our food we visited Bryant park and then the New York public library. Unfortunately that one closed just as we arrived so we didn't get to look inside. We continued our way to Grand Central station, which looked very impressive inside. It was huge and there were a lot of stores inside. Then we passed the Chrysler building. We bought some cupcakes at a tiny store and took the subway to Time Square.

At Time Square we visited a few shops such as M&M world and the Disney store. Sonaj bought me a Donald Duck plush and bought an Aladdin toy set. It included an Aladdin, Jasmine, Rajah (Jasmine's pet tiger), The Sultan, magic carpet, Jafar and the Genie. I took Jasmine and Rajah home. Sonaj kept the others. We had dinner at Guy's kitchen and bar which is a restaurant from a famous American cook. The food was really good but I wasn't very hungry sadly.
Time Square.
Sunset, kind of.

When we got out of the restaurant it was 'dark' on Time Square. Dark means that the sky was dark but it still seemed broad daylight because of all the electronic billboards. On our way home we saw steam coming out of the subway. Looked cool.
