23 June - Day 4
On our second day out we had Donkin Donuts for breakfast since we missed breakfast at our hotel. After some donuts (and a bacon, egg, cheese croissant for Sonaj) we headed north to visit the Trump Tower. It was really chic inside. There was also a roof top garden where we sat for a bit.
Donuts.
Trump Tower.
Louis Vuitton store we passed. There were a lot of these golden dinosaur skeletons in the windows.
After that we walked to Central park where we visited the Apple store and FAO Schwarz, a toy store. The Apple store was HUGE. It's a hall under the ground filled with macs, all kinds of iPhones, iPads and iPods. It was really impressive. The toy store was huge too. In the first part there were a lot of pretty realistic animal plushies. In the second part there was A LOT of candy, Sonaj was in heaven. There was also a make your own Muppet workshop and underground there were a lot toys for babies and such. On the first floor there were a lot different parts with all the toys you can think of. We tried to visit each section and then left.
The Apple store.
FAO Schwarz candy.
Huge gummy bears compared to regular ones (right of it).
Sonaj, my Iron Man.
Lego part of FAO Schwarz. They also had a lego Halo Chief, Storm trooper, Lady Liberty and more.
Huge piano in FAO Schwarz.
Bottle with fake butterflies. They flew around as if they were real. Really cool. There were also candies with real bugs in and such. Yuk.
Plushies.
There were a lot of eating stands outside but we only bought something from Wafels & Dinges which is Belgian waffles! We ate it in Central Park and then tried to find our way to Rockefeller Center. We had some difficulties finding it but thanks to Sonaj we found it anyway. At the Rockefeller center we found the Lego store where you could Lego by the brick and the Nintendo store.
A typical food stand in New York.
Lego store. The tail of the dragon was at the entrance and it went all through the store. On the right you can see the containers with Lego bricks.
Rockefeller Plaza.
Nintendo store's Pokémon center.
Link formed with small pictures of fans.
For dinner we went to Wendy's (because I begged so much for it). It was good! That night there was a nice moon out. I also bought Classic chips somewhere. We don't have those in Belgium so I really wanted to try it. To my disappointment they're just regular salted chips. At least I know now!
