Backyard animals

Pictures pictures pictures! And here a song that fits with the first two pictures.

The cat that visits us sometimes managed to kill/find a polecat. My dad found it the morning after, dead. He looks so cute! Apparently they're as bad as rats, or even worse.

Talking about rats, dad's girlfriend found a nest of baby rats. I wanted to keep one but I got a big NO. They killed them afterwards. Sadly.

And here we have Boss (the cat that visits us sometimes)! He's losing a lot of hair so I can only pat him outside now.

Yesterday me and Smoer made 3 big quiches. They were really good! We had some fun while cooking...

Quiche! On Smoer's request I'll write down the recipe. I've never written one before so it's a mess haha.

Ingredients
Shortcrust pastry (you can buy this pre-made in the store, or you can make it yourself)
250ml cream
4 eggs
1 broccoli (in small pieces)
150gr bacon (cut in small pieces)
2 shallots or 1 big onion (cut into small pieces)
150gr mushrooms (in slices)
Rasped cheese
pepper, oregano

Cook the broccoli short (5min microwave or 3min in boiled water). Fry the onion with some olive oil. Add the bacon. Add the mushrooms. Let it fry well. Mix the cream with eggs, add the pepper and oregano (I rarely add salt in my dishes and bacon is already salt-ish). Spread the shortcrust pastry in a cake pan. Put the broccoli on the bottom. Spread the bacon, mushroom, onion mix over it. Pour the cream-egg mix over it. Top it with some cheese (not too much). Put in pre-heated (180°C) oven for about 40 minutes (till the egg-cream mix is firm). Eat warm! But can also be eaten cold.

Went out to eat sushi with Smoer. It's soooo good.

There was a fair in our town so me and Smoer went to buy smoutebollen. We're still not sure about the English name for it but I think it's fritters. They're not with vegetables or something though, just dough with sugar!

Some sketches. Quaggans! (Ignore the top left one, that was one of my first attempts)

There was a huge hail storm a while ago. The town where me and Smoer live got pretty much spared but not the big city we live close to. There was a lot of damage. This is on the roof of my mother's shop. Note: It was around 30°C when I took this picture and already past noon

When me and Smoer played Flyff we also played a lot of Wii. Our favourite game was The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Our guild Twilight Dentifrice is named after it (yeah, not after the book 'Twilight'). We decided to play the game again! We named Link 'John Snow' and we have to giggle a lot about it.

The game seems to be harder than we can remember, or we were just better when we were younger. Haha.

Reminder that I got a TDF t-shirt with a cool picture that Smoer edited.
