As we prepared ourselves for our first baby by reading books and buying baby toys and furniture, life didn't change much. Even though I stayed home most of the time because of the pregnancy I could continue working on my stories and articles at home. Sonaj just kept going to work and made promotion after promotion.
Then finally, the baby was there. It was a girl! We named her Emily.
After giving birth to Emily I stayed home a few more days to take care of her, Sonaj started working at night so things got pretty chaotic. Yet, we were a good team and we managed to take care of Emily together.
We were very proud parents.
Then Emily grew older.
She started to creep around, throw her toys everywhere and asking even more attention.
In the weekends we would cross the beach to go hang out on the beach. Emily loved to play in the sand and we liked the fresh air and the relaxing sound of waves. We enjoyed the time we got to spend together.
And that's when I became pregnant again. We were ready for a second little baby.
We had to make our house a bit bigger though, it became a bit small with a toddler that crept everywhere and a second baby coming. We made our living room bigger so we had more space for a relaxing place, we made our kitchen bigger so it became easier to cook and we made a separate bedroom for Emily (and soon our new baby).
I was glad I could stay home to take care of Emily but I kept working on my books. Meanwhile I already wrote a few books that got us money every week and I had some nice articles published in the local newspaper.
Sonaj made promotion again and started to work during daytime again so that made things easier again.
And then she was there, our second daughter. We named her Jasmine.
Meanwhile Emily learned how to walk and talk. It made things easier for us.
We're not sure if we'll try to go for a third baby but for now things are just fine. We're enjoying life, our children, work and most of all each other.
And we finally bought a barbecue! I know Sonaj loves grilling and it'll make us spend more time outside.

May you sleep forever on weird places
It's been a 5 months since my dear Discovery passed away. We really aren't getting new pets here at dad's and I kind of miss that but I'm glad I still have Tipi, Yoshi and all the neighbour cats at my mother's place.
Sometimes when I'm at dad's I think I see 'something' in the corner of my eye, thinking it's my cat. But each time I have to face reality and notice that it's something else. I can honestly say that I miss her. My sweet Discovery.
Anyway. She's been sleeping on a lot of weird and funny places over the years. I've been wanting to put all the pictures I took of her on such places together. Since my Sims 3 is reinstalling (got an error after updating, good job...) I decided to do this now. Enjoy!
(They're put from old to new)
On the middle of a big bed.
In a breadbasket.
On a laptop bag.
On the place where I move my mouse (so I would stroke her every time I'd move my mouse).
On a bag between my desk and the door to the basement.
In my bed, half under the blanket.
On the thin back of a sofa.
In the kitchen on the floor on a floor cloth.
In a banana box!
In a shoe box (that I also used for papercrafts).
Managed to get a spot aside her buddy, Felix.
In our red bread basket.
Covered with... stuff.
On my brother's laptop (he was pretty angry).
On a tablet (soda included).
On an (empty) pizzahut box.
On boxershorts that fell off the dry rack.
Between the dishes and the coffee machine.
In the bath tube.
In our red breadbasket in our bigger breadbasket.
On an empty cornflakes bag.

A new Sims 3 story
Some of you might remember my older posts of Sims 3 about Ricky. (Click, click.) I was playing a downloaded (illegal) version of Sims 3 back then (ohh!). My brother got the legal version at the introduction of a new expansion, together with that expansion: Nightlife. I threw all the illegal Sims 3 stuff off my computer to install the legal version of Sims 3. Sadly that meant I deleted Ricky as well. When I finally decided that all the illegal stuff of Sims 3 was off my computer I asked my brother for the Sims 3 disk to install it. His answer: Ohh, I can't find that disk any more.
...
Months later I finally started to search for it, found it and installed it. No more stories about Ricky this time but a new story about...
Me and Sonaj!
Bet you didn't see that coming.
As a fresh married couple, me and Sonaj bought a house at the beach in a nice Sims 3 town. (The middle, blue, one.)
When we first started living together we didn't have much but we spend a lot of time together. We both got a job, me in the local publisher and Sonaj in the local hospital. After work we'd meet in the park To barbecue, hang out on the swings or have a picknick. After that we would head to the library to study.
We even got up together at mornings and had breakfast together before we'd leave for work.
At the weekends we would go to the swimming pool to enjoy ourselves. We met some nice people there too!
But we still spend a lot of time studying. Sonaj mostly stayed home to study on his bed. You found me behind my computer writing on my first book or I would be out.
I went out to interview people...
Or search through trash. (Found some nice stuff in there.)
Through time we both reached higher in our jobs. While my time at the office would get shorter so I could spend the rest of my day writing out interviews or write on my book, Sonaj's days got longer and even after his hours he sometimes had to hurry to the hospital for an emergency.
It became harder to spend time together but I always waited for Sonaj to get home at evenings so we could spend some time together.
In the weekends we had more time together and from one thing came another.
Random screenshot of Sonaj repairing the toilet. That thing keeps breaking...
I became pregnant!
We're both excited and nervous about what's coming now. But I'm sure we'll do fine.
To be continued.
